Our Neurosurgery Unit has a new state-of-the-art microscope, designed to revolutionize surgery. This equipment provides exceptional visual capabilities, offering surgeons high quality images in real time and significantly improving accuracy and comfort during operations.
This breakthrough surpasses its predecessors thanks to an innovative optical system that generates razor-sharp, three-dimensional images with greater depth of field and definition. In addition, it includes two fluorescence modalities that make it possible to observe the tiny arteries of the brain and distinguish between tumor and healthy cells with high accuracy.
The device is able to display the visible spectrum in natural colors while using fluorescence to highlight the circulation of arteries and veins, providing clearer and more detailed images.
Another notable advantage is that surgeons can choose to operate by viewing a 3D view directly on the monitor in the operating theatre, without the need for binoculars, giving them greater comfort and freedom of movement during procedures.
